HEY YA’LL! I’M JOSIE, THE GAL WHO STARTED THIS WHOLE THING…

My closest friends would probably describe me as bubbly and cheerful. I laugh too loud and smile a lot, but don’t be fooled- if you challenge me to anything, my competitive side comes out and I’ll fight you to the death (Obviously kidding, but kinda not… I grew up with five older brothers ;)).

I’m passionate about my Catholic faith, people, and tennis. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a degree in public relations where I played on the tennis team for four years and even won a national championship! After graduation, I played professionally for about nine months before accepting a writing position at the University of Notre Dame. While the transition to cold weather has been a drastic change for this Florida gal, I find comfort in the fact that God is directing my paths and has a better plan for my life than I ever will!

When I’m not playing tennis or writing, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, cozying up to a good book, and watching movies (The Patriot, Braveheart, Gladiator, and Pink Panther are some of my favs). I also recently took up photography, so if you ever want a photoshoot, you know who to call. 😉 Oh, and I almost forgot an important detail: I LOVE food, especially Mexican. Pretty sure it’s the way to my heart. If you ask me if I’m hungry, the answer is always yes, and I will never turn down Chipotle.

Lastly, but most importantly, I love Jesus. He is the One who teaches me how to love, so I try to love Him and others better every day. Some days I do pretty well, while others I fall short. But I know I’m not perfect, which is why I strengthen myself with the graces of the sacraments as often as possible. Without Christ, I would be hopeless and miserable. But thankfully, I’m not! Even though I’m a broken girl, living in a broken world, I’m able to remain hopeful and live a life full of authenticity and joy. My faith has grounded me as I know who I am created to be and what I’m created for. I was created for heaven and meant to be a saint one day. And so are you!

I’m a firm believer in sharing our struggles and stories with each other because we can be a light to someone going through a similar situation. People need to know they don’t have to settle for the inauthentic, depressing and hopeless promises this world offers. By recognizing your purpose, you’ll be able to live with such freedom and joy, knowing you can’t store up your treasures here.

So this is just me sharing my soul with you. Through it all, I want to encourage you to delve into the depths of your soul so you too can find the peace and joy I have found in Christ. Be courageous and willing to search your soul for the Truth. Seek answers and Christ will give them to you. I promise you it’s worth it.

From the depths of my soul,

Josie
